Description

MotionProtect Plus Jeweller is a wireless indoor motion detector. It can operate for up to 5 years from an built-in battery, and monitors the area within a 12-meter radius. MotionProtect Plus ignores animals, while recognizing a human from the first step. Together with the IR sensor, detector applies a radio-frequency scan that filters out thermal interference.

MotionProtect Plus operates within the Ajax system, connected to the hub via the protected Jeweller protocol. The communication range is up to 1200 meters in the line of sight. In addition, the detector can be used as a part of third-party security central units via the  uartBridge or ocBridge Plus integration modules.

The detector is set up via the Ajax app for iOS, Android, macOS and Windows. The system notifies user of all events through push notifications, SMS and calls (if activated).

Operating principle

MotionProtect Plus is a wireless motion detector with an additional microwave sensor. Using the IR sensor, it can identify intrusions by detecting moving objects with temperatures close to that of the human body.

When MotionProtect Plus detects motion, it conducts an additional RF scan of the room with built-in K-band microwave sensor to eliminate false alarms due to thermal interference: air flows, heated curtains and blinds, fans, fireplaces, air conditioners, and other likely sources of false alarms.

When an armed detector identifies motion, it instantly sends an alarm to the hub, activating the sirens connected to the system, triggering scenarios, and notifying users and the security company. All MotionProtect Plus alarms and events are recorded in the event feed of the Ajax apps.

Users know exactly where motion is detected. The notifications contain the name of the hub (protected facility), the name of the device, and the virtual room to which the detector is assigned.
